Congratulations to a whole slew of winning Michigan ICES members!

Gary Silverthorn, Michaelle Stidham, and Carol Lowe all recently participated in the Mid-Atlantic Cake Competition which was held April 19-20 in Westminster, Maryland.

Michaelle and Carol entered the Wedding Cake Competition, and did our state proud against a field of NINETY TWO entries from across the country!!! Michaelle finished in 2^nd place, and Carol was awarded 4^th place.

Gary entered the Divisional Competition with a tiered wedding cake. Gary won 1^st place in the category, along with Best of Division - Masters, he also won Best of Show for the entire divisional competition.

Along with this group of winners, many of you know Connie DiTommaso (fondly referred to as our “honorary Michigander”) who drives in from New York to attend most of our state events. Connie also entered the Divisional Competition and won 1^st place in her category, as well as Best of Division - Advanced.

It’s a Boy!

Gary welcomed a new bundle of joy into their home in mid-February, and the little cutie recently celebrated his first birthday with his new daddy’s!

Congratulations to Laura Amadeo!

Laura recently entered the Queen City Cake Competition held March 7th, 8th and 9th in Cincinnati, Ohio.  The show was held in conjunction with the 5th Annual Home and Garden Show at the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati.

Laura was awarded BEST OF SHOW for her entry shown here!
