Kids Classes

I am happy to announce our classes that are just for the kids!

Parents, you can send your kids to cake class knowing they are safe!  I was a girl scout leader for the past 3 years, and received an “Outstanding Leader” award in January of 2007 (I’m sure most any parent from my troop would be more than happy to provide a reference if needed…)

I realize how hard it is to find something creative outside the television for children to do, and am excited to have this opportunity to teach a new skill to our youth.

Classes will be held the 2nd Saturday of the month

Class will run from 10amnoon

Classes are for 8-16 year olds

Class Fee: $20

Parents will need to bring the child in, leave emergency numbers, and return at the end of class to pick them up.

(There isn’t really space for parents to stay and watch if the class is full… but I do have a few extra chairs and you are certainly more than welcome to sit outside the classroom in the shopping area and read, or whatever, if you aren’t comfortable leaving your child alone. [I have children of my own in this age bracket so I would certainly understand! J]  If your child has special needs, I would appreciate your staying onsite, or in the parking lot, if possible. J)

CURRENT SCHEDULE

June:

          Golf Scene - $ 20 (just in time for Father’s Day! J)

          Sat, June 14th ~ 10am-noon

Bring a 9x13 sheet cake, and a batch of butter cream icing.  I will provide the rest of the supplies for the kids to leave with a completed cake for Dad.

July:

          Fondant Critters - $ 20

          Sat, July 12th ~ 10am-noon

Each student needs to simply bring themselves for this class.  All supplies will be provided to make some adorable animals made from fondant.
